Ladybirds
Our ladybird group has space for 16 children aged 2-3 years. We have 1 member of staff for every 4 children and each child has a nominated key person who will form a secure relationship with them and plan for their individual needs.
We use the Early Years Foundation Stage as guidance to ensure our children reach their full potential and we can identify any additional support they may need or areas where further challenge is needed to extend their learning.
The ladybird’s have access to a courtyard garden as well as the main nursery outdoor area, here they can explore a wildlife area, mud kitchen, reading nook and water play. They also have a room dedicated to creative play which includes play dough, painting, water and sand play.
New children are offered a settling in programme individually tailored to meet their needs, as we understand that some children need longer to build up relationships with staff members.
